Hans Mühlhofer (born February 18, 1878 in Berlin ; † July 22, 1932 there ) was a German actor , radio play speaker and reciter .

Life

Mühlhofer took part in various silent films , such as The Call of Love and The Skeleton (1916), The Sex of the Rogues and The Daughter of Rajah (1918). After he had worked in cardsharps and The Skull of the Pharaoh's Daughter in 1920 , there was a longer film break. From 1930 he worked in the two sound films The Flute Concerto by Sans-souci (1930) and Tannenberg (1932).

In addition, he was the spokesman for broadcast games, as the radio plays were called at the time, for several German broadcasters. For example, he spoke to the bell founder Heinrich in Hauptmann's drama The Sunken Bell at NORAG in Hamburg . His partners included Karl Pündter , Hans Freundt , Ida Orloff and Ernst Pündter .

As a reciter, he also discussed speech records , some with his own texts and fairy tales.

Mühlhofer died in 1932 and is buried in the Luisenstadt cemetery in Berlin .
