Haplogroup P is a haplogroup of the Y chromosome in human genetics . This haplogroup contains the paternal ancestors of most Europeans and almost all indigenous peoples of the Americas . It also includes approximately one-third to two-thirds of the males from various populations in Central Asia and South Asia .
