Happy Valley AA , HVAA for short ( Chinese  愉 園 體育 會  /  愉 园 体育 会 , Pinyin Yúyuán Tǐyùhuì , Jyutping Jyu 4 jyun 4 Tai 2 juk 6 wui 2 , English Happy Valley Athletic Association ) is an association team from Hong Kong and was founded in 1950. The club's own soccer team currently plays in the city's highest league, the Hong Kong Premier League . (As of 2019/20) Happy Valley ( 愉 園  /  愉 园 , Yúyuán , Jyutping Jyu 4 jyun 4  - "literally Happy Garden", local nickname 快活谷 , Kuàihuógǔ , Jyutping Faai 3 wut 6 guk 1  - "literally Happy Valley") As the locals also colloquially call the team, they are next to South China AA one of the most successful in the history of football in Hong Kong until the team was relegated to the second division in 2010/11. In the more than sixty-year history of the club, the number of runner-ups is greater than the number of championships won. The greatest continental success was reaching the quarter-finals of the 1998/99 Asian Cup Winners' Cup .

Stadion

Home stadium

Of the club does not have a home stadium and plays its home games since the season 2019/20 on the sports field of the hammer Hill Road Sports Ground ( 斧山道運動場 ) from near the Diamond Hill in District Wong Tai Sin in the east of the peninsula Kowloon . The Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground has a maximum capacity of 2,200 seats. The stadium, which opened in September 1989, is owned by the Hong Kong Government and operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). In the past, the team played its home games at the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground as well as the Tai Po Sports Ground and the Mong Kok Stadium (MKS).
