Tai Po FC ( Chinese 大埔 足球 會 / 大埔 足球 会 , Pinyin Dàbù Zúqiúhuì , Jyutping Daai 6 bou 3 Zuk 1 kau 4 wui 2 , English Tai Po Football Club ) is a football club from Hong Kong founded in 2002 . Tai Po FC plays in the Hong Kong Premier League , the highest league in the Chinese Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong and is there as Wofoo Tai Po ( 和 富 大埔 , Héfù Dàbù , Jyutping Wo 4 fu 3 Daai) due to the sponsorship agreement with the main sponsor Wofoo Social Enterprises 6 bou 3 ) listed in the league. The Tai Po FC team is also known colloquially by its fans as the “ Green Warriors ” ( 綠 戰士 / 绿 战士 ). (As of 2019)
Club history
The football club Tai Po FC was on 3 September 2002 by the Council of the District Municipality of Tai Po ( 大埔區議會 / 大埔区议会 , english Tai Po District Council established) in Hong Kong football season 2002-2003. Started in the third division of Hong Kong, the club won the table in the 2003/2004 season and moved to the first division for the 2006-2007 season within 2 years . Tai Po FC is thus the first team in the third division to be promoted to the Hong Kong First Division. After a seventh place as a promoted club, the 2007-2008 season ended in third place in the league's first division. At the beginning of the 2014-2015 season , the club made it to the top division, the Hong Kong Premier League , which was newly created in 2014, and after a short stay rose again to the Hong Kong Football Association's second division , the First Division, at the end of the season due to a poor game record and mediocre performance from. After a successful 2015-2016 season as leaders in the First Division, Tai Po FC has been playing in the top division, the Hong Kong Premier League, since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, which the club finished sixth at the end of the season.
Since the promotion to the 2016-17 season, the club has been back in the top division, the Hong Kong Premier League. (As of 2019)

Home stadium
The club does not have its own home stadium and plays its home games in the local sports field, the Tai Po Sports Ground ⊙ in the Tai Po district of the New Territories . The Tai Po Sports Ground has a maximum capacity of 3200 seats. The stadium, which opened on September 23, 1992, is owned by the Hong Kong Government and operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).
