Harald Terpe
Frank Harald Terpe (born July 17, 1954 in Greifswald ) is a German pathologist and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , non-party until November 2006 ).
Life
Harald Terpe is the son of the mathematician and SPD politician Frank Terpe . After graduating from high school in 1973, Harald Terpe did military service in the National People's Army . In 1976 he began studying medicine at the University of Rostock , which he completed in 1982 as a medical graduate with the state examination. He then completed his training as a specialist in pathology at the Rostock University Hospital , which he completed in 1987. In the same year took place here his promotion to Dr. med. From 1998 until his entry into the German Bundestag in 2005, Terpe worked as a senior physician at the Institute for Pathology at the University of Rostock.
As a widower, Terpe married for the second time. He has two daughters and four sons.
Medical Association
Terpe represents the constituency of Rostock in the chamber assembly of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Medical Association. He sits on the hospital committee and on the board of the medical association .
Politics for Rostock
At the time of the turning point and peaceful revolution in the GDR , Terpe became a member of the New Forum in 1989 . As from 1990 to 1994, Terpe has been a member of the citizenship of Rostock for the Bündnis 90 community of voters since 1999 . In 2002 he was a candidate of the Bündnis 90 voter association for the first direct election of the Lord Mayor of Rostock and achieved 3rd place with 19.1%. In the local elections in 2004 he moved to the list of voters Community Alliance 90, which reached 10.6% in the citizenship a Rostock. Since 2006 he has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .
Bundestag
Via the state list of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Terpe became a member of the German Bundestag as a state top candidate in the 2005 federal election . Since then he has been the spokesman for his group for drug and addiction policy, a full member and chairman of his group in the Committee on Health , and a deputy member in the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development . In the 18th legislative period he was a deputy member of the sports committee of the German Bundestag and of the subcommittee on health in developing countries. In the 2009 federal election and the general election in 2013 he was re-elected. After the 2017 federal election , Claudia Müller took over from him.
