Harlem is a city in Columbia County in the US state Georgia with 2,666 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Harlem is about 10 km south of Appling . The closest major cities are Augusta (20 km east) and Atlanta (190 km west).

history

Harlem was founded on October 24, 1870. The most famous citizen of this city is Oliver Hardy . In addition to the Laurel and Hardy Museum , a street festival is held every year in their honor, which is very popular.

According to the 2010 census, the 2666 inhabitants at the time were distributed over 1020 inhabited households, which gives an average of 2.61 people per household. There are a total of 1120 households.
