The Hausschlade is a 22.23 hectare nature reserve in the area of ​​the city of Attendorn and the municipality of Finnentrop in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located west of the Lenne, north of the Attendorn district of Borghausen and south of the village of Bamenohl . It was temporarily secured in 2003 when the Attendorn - Heggen-Helden landscape plan was drawn up and designated by the district council in 2006 with landscape plan no. 3 Attendorn - Heggen-Helden . The NSG is one of ten sub-areas of the fauna-flora-habitat area, beech forests, limestone semi -dry grasslands and rocks south of Finnentrop (DE-4813-301).

NSG is a forest area with limestone cliffs and two former quarries. According to the specialist information system of the State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection in North Rhine-Westphalia , it is a supra-regionally important habitat and a habitat of rare and endangered animal and plant species. The area is characterized by species-rich red beech and canyon forest . Rock debris heaps can also be found in the NSG.

The beech forests are mainly on east-facing slopes. In the beech forest there are age groups from poles to strong tree wood . The phytosociological range from wood-rush beech forest in the far north on species-rich limestone beech up to the Orchid Buchenwald in the southeast. The orchid beech forest is only found on a small scale. There are also plots of red spruce and oak in the area.

A special feature on the lower slope of a block debris dump in the northeast of the Ahorn-Ash Gorge Forest . In the tree layer of the canyon forest dominated leaved lime , ash , beech and sycamore . The mountain elm is rarely found in the canyon forest. Ash and beech trees reach chest height diameters (BHD) of up to 1.0 m. Numerous stick movements in the canyon forest indicate a former use of coppice forest . The herb layer is rich in species. The up to 7 m high individual rocks are overgrown with striped fern and potted fern . Another canyon forest with large deer tongues is located in the vicinity of a steep rock face up to 12 m high. In the tree layer of this canyon forest, sycamore maple and ash dominate. Occasionally there are very old trees here, too. a. Ash with BHD of 1.0 m. The deer tongue can be found in large numbers both on the rock faces and at the foot of the rock face in the rubble heaps. The silver leaf also occurs in large stocks. The rock face of the northern former quarry has rock walls up to 20 m high. The field wall areas are partly shaded by the growth of trees on the quarry floor and in the rock face. The rock face is partly overgrown with ferns and mosses. The rare eyelash pearl grass grows at one point on the rock face . Nutrient- and heat-loving fringe species grow on the quarry floor. Sewage sludge used to be deposited on partial areas at the foot of the rock face. The greater nettle has dominated these areas . At the edge of the former access road there is a stock of small wintergreens .

In the NSG the eagle owl , the red kite and the Roman snail were found in rare animal species .
