Haverbeck is a suburb of the city of Hameln in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location

Haverbeck is located near the north-western edge of the Hamelin urban area. The state road 433 bypasses the place in a small north-east curve, behind it the Weser flows .

history

Haverbeck was first mentioned in a document in 1289 when the land was handed over to the Rinteln monastery.

On January 1, 1973 Haverbeck was incorporated into the district town of Hameln.

Infrastructure

Haverbeck is connected to the core city of Hameln, the federal highway 83 and the Autobahn 2 via state and district roads . In the village, the company HTP would like to lay fiber optic connections for fast Internet together with the district of Hameln-Pyrmont . As of the beginning of January 2020, the required quota of 40% (160 households) of binding contracts was still well undercut (113 registrations, 28.75%). The latest registration date is January 22, 2020, so the decision to expand is currently still in question.
