Heike Balck (born August 19, 1970 in Schwerin ) is a former German athlete who was successful in the high jump in the 1980s and 1990s . It started for GDR until 1990 . On June 12, 1989, she jumped 2.01 m in Karl-Marx-Stadt and thus equalized the junior world record set by Olga Turtschak , USSR , on July 5, 1986. The world record lasted for over 30 years until Yaroslav Mahutschich , Ukraine , surpassed him by three centimeters on September 30, 2019.

She was twice GDR champion (1989: 1.97 m; 1990: 1.95 m) and twice German champion (1994: 1.90 m; 1997: 1.96 m).
