Heiligkreuz is a group and a fraction of the municipality of Sölden in the Imst district in Tyrol with 123 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

geography

The Heiligkreuz fraction consists of several scattered settlements in the Venter Valley , most of which are located on the Venter Straße high above the deeply cut Venter Ache  . The Rotte Heiligkreuz is 1711  m above sea level. A. about halfway between Zwieselstein  and Vent . The group also includes the Rotte Bodenegg ( 1527  m above sea level ), the hamlets of Neder, Seiten and Winterstall ( 1726  m above sea level ), the scattered houses Venter Tal and several individual farms.

history

In the land register of Count Meinhard II of Tyrol from 1288, a Schwaighof in chvrtzenloenne (Kurzlehn) is mentioned, which had to deliver 200 cheeses a year to the sovereign. In 1804 the church and chaplaincy of the Holy Cross were built in Kurzlehn , whereupon the name Holy Cross became established for the place.
