Heimar Fischer-Gaaden (born February 22, 1923 in Hanover ; † July 9, 2014 there ) was a German portrait painter .

Heimar Fischer-Gaaden grew up in Hanover . Since 1954 he lectured at the Volkshochschule Hannover . Since 1955 he has organized exhibitions on behalf of the state capital Hanover, the state of Lower Saxony, the Hanover Art Association and the Association of Visual Artists for Lower Saxony .

From 1959 to 1966 he was exhibition manager at the Kunstverein Hannover. In 1965 he was awarded the Lower Saxony Art Prize . From 1978 to 1984 he had a teaching position at the Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences .

In 1979 Fischer-Gaaden had an apartment and studio at Lemförder Straße 2 in the Hanover district of Südstadt .

Further awards

In 1981 Fischer-Gaaden was awarded the Lower Saxony Cross of Merit .
