Up until the beginning of the 19th century, Heinersreuth was under the sovereignty of the von Wildenstein noble family, which was directly part of the empire . The bailiwick , decisive for the sovereignty of the Franconian region , was exercised by their rule Wildenstein , as was the high jurisdiction . When the imperial knighthood territories in the area of the Franconian Forest were mediated as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss , Heinersreuth was annexed on November 1, 1805 by the electorate Palatinate-Baiern in violation of the imperial constitution . The village thus became part of the New Bavarian territories that were taken over by the "Napoleonic land consolidation" , which was only subsequently legalized in July 1806 with the Rhine Confederation Act.
As a result of the administrative reforms at the beginning of the 19th century in the Kingdom of Bavaria , Heinersreuth became a rural community with the Second Community Edict in 1818 , which also includes the places Birken , Breiteneben , Elbersreuth , Elbersreuthermühle , Fels , Güldenhof (abandoned place; north-west of Köstenberg wasteland) , cross Knock , Pinzenhof , Schmölz and Wustuben belonged. As part of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, the entire community of Heinersreuth was incorporated into the Presseck market at the beginning of 1978. In 1987 Heinersreuth had 144 inhabitants.
