Heinrich-Hermann Engemann
Heinrich-Hermann "Heiner" Engemann (born June 7, 1959 in Volkmarsen ) is a former German show jumper . With his mare Candela , he won more than 100 advanced classes. Since the beginning of 2009 he has been the discipline trainer of the German show jumpers at the side of head trainer Otto Becker .
Career
From 1974 to 1977 Heinrich-Hermann Engemann trained as a butcher . Sönke Sönksen trained him from 1973 to 1980 in Versmold . 1980 to 1984 he worked as a rider in Eva Bitter's stable in Bad Essen . Between 1984 and 1993 Heinrich-Hermann Engemann was the tenant of a riding facility in Bissendorf and was responsible for the training of riding horses. He passed his rider examination in 1992.
Together with his then wife Karin Ernsting , the leased riding facility in Bissendorf was bought and expanded in 1993. Heinrich-Hermann Engemann has been President of the German Show Jumping Club (CDS) since 2001 . In 2002 he passed his horse management exam with distinction.
Since 2003 the Westphalian gelding Aboyeur W Engemann has been a successful horse at international tournaments, with which he won the Barcelona Grand Prix (CSIO 5 *) in 2004 and the Helsinki World Cup in 2005. In 2008 they both reached third place at the World Cup finals. At the 2008 Olympic Games , Heinrich-Hermann Engemann and Aboyeur W were the substitute pair in the event that a planned starter from the German show jumping team was canceled.
When Engemann and Karin Ernsting separated, Aboyeur W was sold to Álvaro Affonso de Miranda Neto . After the events at the Olympic Games, Engemann, who was now without top horses for the big sport, was, together with Otto Becker, the favorite for the replacement of the national coaching position in show jumping. On January 1, 2009, he took over the post of discipline trainer for German show jumpers. In this role he takes on, among other things, the trainer function at the Olympic Games, championships and high-ranking Nations Cups and is responsible for the newly created perspective group jumping.
After his divorce in 2009, Engemann and show jumper Torben Köhlbrandt leased a facility in Ibbenbüren , on which they both ran a joint company. In 2011 Engemann withdrew from the company because he was too involved in his work as a trainer.
In March 2012, Engemann agreed with the current owners of Aboyeur W that he would now spend his bread of grace on Heinrich-Hermann Engemann's farm.
Heinrich-Hermann Engemann has three sons with Karin Ernsting.
