Heinrich Carl Scheel
Heinrich Carl Scheel , also Heinrich Karl Scheel or Heinrich Scheel (born May 17, 1829 in Hamburg , † April 13, 1909 in Riga ) was a German-Baltic architect .
Life
Heinrich Carl Scheel's parents were the master bricklayer Daniel Dietrich Scheel and Dorothea Catharina Scheel nee Menck.
After an apprenticeship as a carpenter in Kiel from 1845 to 1846 , he attended Hermann Peter Fersenfeldt's school of master builders and drawing in Hamburg, and then studied at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg from 1847 to 1852 , where he worked for Ludwig Bohnstedt .
In 1899 he founded the architects Scheel & Scheffel in Riga with Friedrich Scheffel .
