Heinrich Epler
Carl Heinrich Epler (born August 5, 1846 in Königsberg in Franconia , † April 30, 1905 in Dresden ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Heinrich Epler came to Dresden in 1869 as a student of Johannes Schilling . Here he founded his own workshop two years later. From 1895 he was provisional teacher of the modeling class and from 1897 professor at the Dresden Art Academy . He lived in the Dresden district of Striesen in the house at Haydnstrasse 27. His grave is in the Johannisfriedhof in Tolkewitz .
Epler mainly created plastic architectural decorations on public buildings and tombs.
