Heinrich Heintzmann , full name Johann Heinrich Heintzmann , (born September 30, 1778 at Haus Weile in Hattingen , † February 17, 1858 in Essen ) was a German mining official , city councilor of the city of Essen and director of the society association .

Born as the son of mountain councilor Julius Philip Heintzmann (1745–1794) and his wife Dorothea Margaretha, née Basse (1745–1818), Heinrich Heintzmann attended the Hammonense grammar school in Hamm . He also learned practical activities in mining . In 1799 he was appointed Bergeleven. This was followed by a mining and scientific training at the Bergakademie Berlin .

Heinrich Heintzmann was on March 12, 1800, when Bergexpectant the Silesian Mining Office transferred. In his further career, his head, the mining captain Graf von Reden, promoted him to senior climber in 1803 . A year later, Heintzmann headed the state coal mines in Upper Silesia as a mountain jury . In 1805 he became a member of the Tarnowitz Mining Authority with its official seat in Zabrze , whereupon he became a senior mountain jury in 1809 and a mountain master in 1812 .

In 1821 Heintzmann was transferred to Essen , where he headed the Essen-Werdensche Mining Office from that point until December 31, 1857. In 1822 he was named a mountain ridge , in 1837 Oberbergrat and in 1857 finally secret mountain ridge.

From 1834 to 1838 he was city councilor of the city of Essen, where he resigned the mandate due to an order of the superior authority. In addition, Heintzmann was director of the society association and from its founding 1829 to 1856 president of the prison aid association.

The burial took place in the cemetery at Kettwiger Tor in Essen. In the mid-1950s he was reburied in the Ostfriedhof in Essen, as the cemetery at Kettwiger Tor was abandoned for urban planning reasons. Heintzmannstrasse in Altendorf has been a reminder of him in Essen since 1902 .

Heinrich Heintzmann's son was the district judge Edmund Heintzmann (1815–1890). His daughter Emilie married the publisher Karl Baedeker and his daughter Clementine married the royal Prussian Justice President Ludwig von Beughem .

Awards

In 1834 Heinrich Heintzmann was awarded the Red Eagle Order IV class . With the retirement from the civil service he received the Red Eagle Order III. Class with oak leaves.
