Heinrich Julius Ludwig Assmann (born September 24, 1766 in Hanover ; died January 13, 1839 in Braunschweig ) was a German Lutheran theologian and pastor .

Life

Heinrich Julius Ludwig Assmann attended the Hanover Lyceum (today: Kaiser Wilhelm and Ratsgymnasium Hanover ) and, together with numerous other students at his school, wrote an anniversary publication for Senior Gabriel Heinrich Pollmann that was printed by Wilhelm Pockwitz in 1786 .

At the Reformation Festival , Assmann was introduced to Uelzen on October 31, 1793 as "Pastor Diaconus" . After almost six years, he was called to Braunschweig on October 6, 1799 as pastor of the parish of St. Martini , in which he later assumed the office of first preacher as the successor to the late Johann Wilhelm Wolfgang Breithaupt .

Assmann was a book collector. After his death, his library was offered for auction on August 26, 1839 via a catalog available from "FA Röse" through the Besser bookstore in Berlin.

Assmann's son Ludwig Assmann (born around August 2, 1798 in Braunschweig, died March 5, 1873) Harburg worked as a freight forwarder for the Waßmann et Assmann or Wassmann & Assmann freight forwarding company and as the owner of an outlet store.
