Heinrich von Abel

Emil Eberhard Heinrich Abel , from 1889 von Abel , (born June 8, 1825 in Ludwigsburg ; † January 23, 1917 ibid) was a German lawyer and Lord Mayor of Ludwigsburg (1864-1897).

Life

Heinrich Abel was born as the son of the district building officer Gottlieb Ludwig Abel (1782-1852) and Charlotte born. Hutten (1796–1845) born. He attended the Ludwigsburg grammar school and the Maulbronn Evangelical Seminary . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg . In 1844 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . After his studies he returned to Ludwigsburg and was elected court actuary in 1854 and city council in 1864. He held the office of Lord Mayor until 1897. During his tenure, numerous new buildings were built and the city developed very positively. From 1882 to 1900 he was a member of the Württemberg Landtag ( Second Chamber ) for the Ludwigsburg-Stadt constituency as a guest of the German party . From 1891 he was a member of the Disciplinary Court for Corporate Officials.
