Heinrich von Gersdorff

Heinrich von Gersdorff (also Heinrich von Gersdorf ; † July 14, 1557 ) was an electoral Saxon councilor and captain in the Erzgebirge district .

Life

He was a son of Sebastian von Gersdorff . In 1529 he inherited Ruhland in Upper Lusatia after his death . In 1540 Heinrich von Gersdorff sold the estate again and became mining captain of Annaberg in the Ore Mountains . In the next few years he became court master of the Duchess Agnes of Saxony . In 1547 von Gersdorff was bailiff of Wolkenstein and captain in the Erzgebirge district.

In 1550 he was given the lien in Dobrilugk in Lower Lusatia by Emperor Ferdinand . There he began to convert the abbot's house into a castle. He died in 1557.

  • Rudolph, on Guteborn , pawn owner of Dobrilugk 1557–1589
  • Heinrich (1543–1596), co-owner of the Dobrilugk pledge since 1557, buried in the Frauenkirche Dresden
  • Volckmar (Volkmar), co-owner of the Dobrilugk pledge since 1557
  • Heinrich Otto († 1617), on Buchwäldchen and Kleinhof, pledge holder of Dobrilugk 1589–1602

Heinrich von Gersdorff and Mechthild von Bünau are shown on a splendid colored epitaph in the church of St. Marien in Kirchhain on the south side of the choir.
