Heinz Blume (born October 11, 1945 in Hauptmannsgrün ) is a German graduate engineer and managing partner of a textile company. He was a member of the last people 's chamber in the GDR.

Life

Blume was born in Vogtland in 1945 and grew up in Großolbersdorf in the Ore Mountains . After attending the Polytechnic Oberschule in Großolbersdorf, he switched to the Extended Oberschule in Zschopau , where he took the Abitur with vocational training, which was temporarily offered in the GDR . He learned the trade of toolmaker in Scharfenstein . After his military service, Blume was admitted to study at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt , which he completed from 1966 to 1971 and graduated as a qualified engineer for production design. His professional career then initially led him to the spring factory in Marienberg , where he worked as a technology group leader. He then moved as chief technologist and technical director to the parent company of the district-run Plastics and Chemistry Combine in Wolkenstein (now Sonja Plastic). Some time later he worked as director for economics in the Zschopau district construction company.

After the local elections in May 1989 , Blume , who joined the CDU in 1986, moved to the Zschopau district council , where he was responsible for the local utility industry (ÖVW) as council member until May 1990. For the first free Volkskammer elections in the GDR on March 18, 1990 , his party in the Karl-Marx-Stadt district nominated him on the list position 20. Since the CDU won exactly 20 seats in this electoral district, Blume moved into the People's Chamber as a member. While the last People's Chamber was in existence, the People's Chamber's temporary examination committee to check the MPs for Stasi cooperation also raised suspicions against Blume. Ultimately, only one entry could be detected in the IM card index , but files could not be found at the time.

After his brief excursion into politics, Blume found a job in 1991 at the Treuhand branch in Chemnitz , where he worked until March 1992. In April 1992 he and other partners took over the VEB Kruso Strumpffabrik Krumhermersdorf and founded the company h & b Strumpf GmbH in Krumhermersdorf . He has been managing director there since it was founded and has been able to maintain the company successfully on the market to this day (as of 5/2017).
