Heinz Kaschke

Heinz Kaschke (born March 27, 1916 in Berlin ; † August 3, 2002 there ) was a German politician ( LDP , FDP ).

Heinz Kaschke was the son of a master furrier and attended a grammar school . In 1928 he joined the Bündische Jugend and graduated from high school in 1935 . He made an apprenticeship, which he in 1938 with the commercial assistant examination completed. In 1939 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht and eventually became an American prisoner of war .

After the Second World War , Kaschke co-founded the LDP in Halle (Saale) in 1945 , and a few months later he moved to Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg . There he founded the fur clothing company "Ernst Kaschke & Sohn KG". In 1956 he moved with his company to West Berlin and became a member of the FDP. In 1960 he moved to the district assembly in the Charlottenburg district . In the Berlin election in 1963 , Kaschke was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. From 1967 to 1981 he was regional manager of the FDP Berlin . In September 1976 he left parliament, and Jürgen Kunze was his successor .

Kaschke was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1976 . In 1981 he was honored as the city ​​elder of Berlin . After his death, he was buried at Luisenfriedhof III in Berlin-Westend with a grave of honor for the city of Berlin .
