In 1899, Müller was involved in the design competition for the Düsseldorf Exhibition Palace , later called "Art Palace", in which the relief of the gable above the main portal was executed according to his design "Prometheus brings people fire".

Heinz Müller, also known as Heinz Müller-Düsseldorf, was a board member of the Düsseldorf Artists Association for mutual help and support and a member of the Malkasten artists' association . In 1904 Müller was on the art committee for the international art exhibition, art history exhibition, large horticultural exhibition , where he himself exhibited the group "Becoming and Passing". In the 1920s, Heinz Müller was repeatedly elected to the board of directors, as a representative of the Association of Düsseldorf Artists, the Kunsthalle and in the 1930s to the representation of the Kunsthalle board.

In 1910, Müller lived in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel at Wildenbruchstrasse 82 for rent. At that time his house was in the new building at Düsseldorfer Strasse 30, which he lived in from 1912 and also worked there; from 1920 with Mrs. Erna Müller. On the facade of the house there is a relief Die Säende, presumably from his hand.

According to statements by the "German Society for Medal Art", some auction houses, etc. Müller worked in Düsseldorf until 1937 and died in the same year. However, according to the inventory of the Malkasten, Heinz Müller died in 1941 and was listed in the Düsseldorf address book in 1939, as in 1940.

For his artistic work, Heinz Müller often preferred motifs from the world of work, blacksmith, fisherman, hunter, farmer, sailor, athlete, equestrian statues are known of him. He also created sculptures of children, girls, nudes, allegorical representations and portrait busts. Müller had his small sculptures made by " Bronceguss von B. Förster" and mostly signed them by H.
