Albert Pehle, coming from Lippstadt, studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from May 1895 under Karl Janssen. Classmates included Heinrich Baucke , Fritz Coubillier , Joseph Hammerschmidt and Carl Heinz Müller .

Pehle was a member of the association of the "Sculptors Group 1900", the artists' association Malkasten and the association of Düsseldorf artists , where around 1910 he was on the commission for external exhibitions.

As a sculptor and interior decorator, he created numerous altar ensembles and individual figures for churches in the Rhineland and Westphalia. In 1925, he even worked as an architect in Rixbeck, a district of Lippstadt. “[...] However, the people of Rixbeck wanted the sculptor Pehle as the draftsman and the Heinrich Pehle company as the building contractor. There were good contacts through the Pehlsche Dampfziegelei, which had been in Schlingfeld for over 20 years. With this constellation, there would be no costs for plans and construction supervision, argued the Rixbeckers, and thus prevailed even though it was church regulation that the author and the construction company could not be the same. "

At the beginning of 1900, Albert Pehle acquired house no.5 (70) and house no.4 (72) in what was then the Düsseldorf suburb of Oberkassel on Drakeplatz at the corner of Wildenbruchstrasse (formerly Karolinger Strasse). Albert Pehle had been married to the piano teacher Aenne Bornemann since 1903, a sister of Walter Ophey's future wife Bernhardine Bornemann (1879–1968). Thanks to the friendly relationship with Pehle, Ophey was able to move into a studio in Pehle's studio house, which he shared with the painter Heinz May . In 1913 Heinrich Maria Davringhausen (1894–1970) moved into Albert Pehle's studio while studying at the academy. The painters Fritz Köhler , Hans Seyppel and Hans-Albert Simon-Schaefer (1907–1993) and the sculptors Burga von Wecus and Willy Hanebal also had their studios there in the 1930s. The studio house was partially destroyed in the Second World War . In the 1960s, Joseph Beuys took over the four-story house at Drakeplatz 4 from Pehle's son Georg.
