Heinz Schacht

Heinz Schacht (* 21st April 1909 in Gevelsberg ; † 1. February 1987 ) was a German actor , radio speaker and playwright .

Life

After attending secondary school , he studied theater with Friedrich Ettel in Essen . Schacht played his first roles in 1930 at the city theaters in Essen. From 1931 to 1933 an engagement at the Schauspielhaus Zurich followed . After that he also worked as an actor in Königsberg (Prussia) . In 1948 Schacht became a member of the Cologne Theaters .

Heinz Schacht also worked in various film , television and radio play productions . In 1971 he played the main role ( Jakob Schmid ) in the production Der Pedell ( ZDF ), directed by Eberhard Itzenplitz . Among the many television appearances in 1972 was the multi-part film adaptation of the crime novel The Red Scarf by Wilkie Collins, produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) . Schacht played the role of Grandpa Rykalla in the television film Smog by Wolfgang Petersen, based on a script by Wolfgang Quantity .

Heinz Schacht could also be heard as a speaker in the popular radio plays in the Paul Temple series of Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR) and WDR by Francis Durbridge , directed by Eduard Hermann . In the radio play version of The Little Hobbit on WDR from 1980, he played the role of Thorin .

Schacht also wrote the stage play Treffpunkt Standesamt .

Heinz Schacht was married to the actress Else Sprenger. They had a son together.
