The Helgoland (A 1457) was a salvage tug Class 720, from 1966 to 1997 for the German Navy / German Navy was in service. Since 1998 the ship has been in service as ROU 22 Oyarvide for the Uruguayan Navy .

The Helgoland was the type ship of the Helgoland class built near Schichau Unterweser (hull number 442) in Bremerhaven .

The hull is built in Maier form with ice reinforcement and divided into nine watertight compartments. The superstructures are made of light metal. The oceanographic, hydrological and meteorological service of the Uruguayan Navy ( Servicio de Oceanografía, Hidrografía y Meteorología de la Armada (SOHMA) ) mainly uses the Oyarvide as a hydrographic survey vessel with the most modern bathymetric equipment .
