Helmut Göttke-Krogmann

Helmut Göttke-Krogmann (born March 31, 1919 in Oldenburg (Oldb.) ; † July 31, 2008 in Lohne (Oldenburg) ) was a German local politician (CDU). Göttke-Krogmann operating as an independent farmer a courtyard in the Lohner peasantry Kroge . He was married and had six children.

Life

From 1972 to 1991 Helmut Göttke-Krogmann held the honorary office of mayor of the city of Lohne ( Vechta district in Lower Saxony ). He had been politically active for his hometown since 1946; he was a member of the Lohner city council from 1948 to 1952 and from 1961 to 1991, and the district council of the Vechta district from 1968 to 1991. The founding of the Lohne industrial museum and the town twinning with the Alsatian town of Rixheim , also founded in 1987, can be traced back to Göttke-Krogmann's initiative .

honors and awards

For his services to the city of Lohne, Helmut Göttke-Krogmann was awarded honorary citizenship of the city in 1991 and the Nieberding sign in 1998. Helmut Göttke-Krogmann was also honored by being awarded the Landscape Medal of the Oldenburg Landscape (1992), the Golden Badge of Honor of the Lower Saxony Association of Towns and Municipalities and the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class .
