Hemhausen is a former municipality in the northern district of Freising . The place is in the southern Hallertau , the most important hop growing area in Germany, about 15 kilometers north of the district town Freising . Hemhausen has been part of the Au idHallertau market since 1978 . The place has 56 inhabitants.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 772. Hemhausen belonged to the Herbersdorf Obmannschaft in the Duchy of Bavaria , together with the towns of Abens , (Grub) Anger, Dellnhausen , Harham, Herbersdorf, Holzhof, Mooshof, Piedendorf and Trillhof.

As part of the community education after the Second Gemeindeedikt arose from the chairman shaft Herbersdorf via the control district Hemhausen 1808 by the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt 1818, the independent rural community Hemhausen.

With the municipal reform , Hemhausen merged with Hirnkirchen on January 1, 1971 to form the new municipality of Abens. After this community was dissolved, Hemhausen became a district of Au in der Hallertau on May 1, 1978.

Attractions

The townscape of Hemhausen is shaped by the Catholic chapel, a baroque-style hall building with a strongly recessed apse and gable tower, labeled "1925".
