Henry König , also known as Henry König-Abel , (born October 9, 1936 in Hamburg ) is a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

König learned the acting profession at the seminar of the Hamburger Kammerspiele . This was followed by engagements in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg, Bielefeld, Bern and at the Bad Hersfeld Festival .

Since the late 1960s, König has also appeared in television productions. He played under the direction of Fritz Kortner in the drama Der Vater , in Ephraim Kishon's satire Pull the plug, the water boils and under the direction of Ida Ehres in the Grethe Weiser comedy Das Kuckucksei . He was also part of the regular cast of the RTL series Die Feuerengel . In addition, he took on numerous guest roles in television series and series such as Tatort , Notruf Hafenkante , Die Wache , Die Rettungsflieger , Hamburg Transit and Großstadtrevier .

König is known to a wide audience primarily for his voice. He works extensively as a spokesperson for film dubbing , radio plays and computer games . For radio play labels such as EUROPA and Maritim, he spoke in well-known radio play series such as Die Drei ??? , Masters of the Universe , Demon Killer , Larry Brent and TKKG . As a voice actor he lent his voice to Lionel Atwill in The Secret Weapon , Dan Aykroyd in Great Outdoors , Christopher Plummer in Skeletons and Michael Talbott as “Det. Switek ”in Miami Vice . He also spoke the leading roles in the television series Pazifikgeschwader 214 ( Robert Conrad ), Major Dad and A Wink des Himmels (both Gerald McRaney ) and in the successor of Horst Stark Police Station Hill Street ( Daniel J. Travanti ).

Henry König is married to the actress Antje Reinke . His son is the actor Nicolas König , next to whom he starred in Die Feuerengel .
