Herma Sandtner

Herma Elisabeth Sandtner , born in Hermine Elisabeth Sedivy (born January 4, 1926 in Austria ; † August 23, 2016 in Vienna ) was an Austrian film editor .

Live and act

Hermine Sedivy came to film shortly after the end of World War II and trained as an editor. In Luis Trenker's little-known drama Im Banne des Monte Miracolo , she was solely responsible for editing the film for the first time in 1948 . In the following years , the editor , who was married to the cameraman Rudolf Sandtner , made the final version of a number of popular Sascha film entertainment productions in her country, by such established veteran directors as Karl Hartl , Eduard von Borsody , Erich Engel , Rudolf Jugert , Géza von Bolváry , Josef von Bákyand Gustav Ucicky were staged. She was also engaged for Willi Forst's last three productions. In 1962, Herma Sandtner ended her short but labor-intensive activity in film.
