Hermann Bethke (born January 22, 1900 in Strohsdorf , Pyritz district , † January 14, 1940 in Nacbolsk ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

Bethke came from a family of long-established farmers in the Pyritzer Weizacker. After attending the village school and a humanistic high school , he studied at the universities of Tübingen , Berlin and Greifswald . In 1918/1919 Bethke was a member of the army. In 1921 he belonged to a volunteer corps in Upper Silesia.

Following the doctorate to Dr. jur. and during the traineeship in 1925, Bethke was appointed government assessor. From 1925 to 1927 he worked for the Iserlohn District Office , then, from 1927 to 1932, for the government in Königsberg . In 1932 he was appointed President of the East Prussian Chamber of Agriculture .

In the 1920s, Bethke joined the NSDAP: in 1929 he became head of the party's Gaurerechtsstelle in East Prussia. In the years 1932/1933 Bethke led the East Prussian labor service. Also in 1933 he was appointed Gauamtsleiter of the Gauleitung in East Prussia and briefly belonged to the Provincial Parliament of the Province of East Prussia . From 1933 he was Vice President of the Upper Presidium of the Province of East Prussia. Bethke was a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA); last he was promoted to Standartenführer in January 1939 .

October 15th 1938 Bethke came after replacement for the retiring MPs George of Waltenhausen as a deputy in the Nazi Reichstag one, up to his death in 1940 he served as a representative of the constituency 1 (East Prussia).

In 1938 he received the NSDAP's golden party badge .

From 1939 to 1940, Bethke served as the provisional district president in the Zichenau administrative district , based in Zichenau .

Bethke died of a heart attack while on a hunt. Joachim Paltzo moved up for him in the Reichstag.
