Hermann Bode (entrepreneur)

Hermann Bode (born March 12, 1876 in Hanover ; † October 22, 1948 ibid) was a German manufacturer and association official .

Life

Born in the early days of the German Empire as the son of the engineer and co-founder of the later Bode-Panzer Geldkastenfabriken AG , Louis Bode (born August 31, 1839 in Hanover; † April 19, 1900 ibid), Hermann Bode initially studied at the Technical University of Hanover , before, after the death of his father in 1900, he and his brother Gustav took over the father's factory with around 400 employees at the time.

Hermann Bode was open to both social issues and association matters and was elected head of the Northwest German Iron and Steel Employer's Liability Insurance Association. Also founded and directed Hermann Bode to 1933 - the year of the seizure of power by the National Socialists - the employers' organization in the metal industry , of which he after the end of World War II took over again. From 1946 to 1948 he was also chairman of the Hanover Industry Association, today 's Hanover Industry Club .

Hermann Bode made a special contribution to the construction of the accident clinic based in Marienstrasse in Hanover .
