Hermann Eberhard Fischer (born October 14, 1830 in Ziesar , † February 1, 1919 in Berlin ) was a German surgeon and university professor .

Life

In 1868, Fischer was given the full professorship of surgery and the management of the surgical university clinic in Wroclaw , succeeding the late Albrecht Theodor Middeldorpf . Fischer was appointed a member of the Medical College in 1873, was appointed to the Medical Council in 1875, and was appointed to the Secret Medical Council in 1885, and held these positions until 1890. Fischer then returned to Berlin, where he worked as the head of a private surgical hospital until his retirement. Hermann Fischer died in Berlin in 1919 at the age of 88.
