Hermann Schmid (actor)

Hermann Schmid (* 1939 in Wolfsberg in Carinthia ) is an Austrian actor and director .

Life

Schmid studied law and philosophy. He received acting training from Rudolf Buczolich and Fritz Zecha . Since 1975 he has been an actor at German and Austrian theaters (such as the Schauspielhaus , Volkstheater and the Burgtheater ).

In addition to the theater, Schmid had numerous roles in film and television. Including series such as the Alpensaga , the Ringstrasse Palace , Eurocops and also some crime scene episodes .

Schmid was married to Elizabeth T. Spira (1942–2019) from 1980 and has an adopted daughter.
