Hermannsried is a district of the municipality of Teunz in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf ( Bavaria ).

Geographical location

Hermannsried is located about three kilometers northeast of Teunz on the southern slope of the 665 m high Fuchsberg above the Murach , which breaks through the Fuchsberg-Roßhaupt massif in a narrow gorge between Gartenriedermühle and Hermannsriedermühle . Hermannsried lies in the strip between Fuchsberg and the Murach valley. There comes Cordieritfleckenaploid before, a bright rock, which is characterized by round patches of blue embedded cordierite. Amphibolite also occurs near Hermannsried .

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Hermannsried was part of the Teunz parish and had three houses and 19 residents.

Wildstein formed in 1969 together with Burkhardsberg, Gutenfürst, Haidhof, Hermannsried, Höcherlmühle, Kühried, Kühriedermühle, Ödreichersried and Zieglhäuser the community of Wildstein with a total of 475 inhabitants and 1276 hectares.

On December 31, 1990, Hermannsried had 6 inhabitants and belonged to the Teunz parish.
