history

Zeinried clearing settlement

Slavic settlements such as Teunz and Gleiritsch are among the oldest in this area. The Gleiritsch brook , a watercourse with a Slavic name, has its source near Zeinried . There are also three large groups of place names in the Altland districts of Nabburg and Oberviechtach , which provide information about settlement activity in the area. These are the -dorf places as the oldest form of settlement in the area, then the richt ( lamp straightening ) or -ried places and later the -hof places ( Bernhof ).

The -dorf locations are basic settlements, which were followed by the -richt and -ried locations in the 11th and 12th centuries. These were clearing settlements such as Pullenried, Wildeppenried, Gartenried, Hermannsried, Ödreichersried, Nunzenried and Zeinried. Zeinried is a clearing settlement. Documented sources are not yet available, based solely on the place name, it can be assumed that it was founded after the turn of the millennium.

The names "Czevnrewt" and "Zeunreut" appear in documents from 1399. It lists the possessions that the Paulsdorfer, who were based in Tännesberg, sold to the Wittelsbachers from the Palatinate.

Tax District and Parish Education

The Kingdom of Bavaria was divided into 15 districts in 1808. These districts were named after rivers based on the French model ( Naabkreis , Regenkreis , Unterdonaukreis , etc.). The districts were divided into district courts. The districts in turn should be divided into individual municipality areas. The municipality of Zeinried belonged to the Vohenstrauß regional court. The localities "Zeinried and Schömersdorf" belonged to the political municipality of Zeinried.

In 1821 the Pilchau community was formed . This formed an administrative unit with the Neumühle and Schnegelmühle.

Since each community should have at least 20 houses, it was reorganized in 1830. The municipality Zeinried now belonged to the main town Zeinried Pilchau (today Markt Tännesberg, district Neustadt ad Waldnaab), Miesmühle, Ödmiesbach, Schömerdorf and Weiherhäusl.

In 1840 "a district court, 1st class in Oberviechtach" was formed. The municipality of Zeinried came with the municipality of Bernhof to the regional court district of Oberviechtach, which now consisted of 26 municipalities.

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Zeinried, consisting of the main town and Miesmühle , Neumühle , Ödmiesbach , Pilchau , Schnegelmühle , Schömersdorf and Weiherhäusl , was dissolved. The last mayor was Hans Kiesl. The localities Miesmühle, Ödmiesbach, Sömersdorf, Weiherhäusl and Zeinried came to the municipality of Teunz . The villages of Neumühle, Pilchau and Schnegelmühle were incorporated into the Tännesberg market , which was connected with the move to the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .
