The Hernalser Gymnasium Geblergasse is a grammar school in Vienna .
history
The Hernalser Gymnasium was founded in 1872 and was housed in a building in what was then Kalvarienberggasse. In the imperial charter it says: “His Kaiserl. and royal With the highest resolution of February 15, 1872, your apostolic majesty deigned to order that a high school should be built in Hernals in such a way that the first two classes should open in the school year 1872/73, then one further class every year until the institution was completed will. ”On June 25, 26 and 27, 1883, the first school leaving examination took place in the Hernalser Gymnasium. On July 14th, the first 21 graduates of the institution were solemnly discharged.
At the beginning of the school year 1936/37, the institution was relocated to the building of the former officers' daughter institute in Geblergasse. Since then it has been called "Hernalser Gymnasium Geblergasse" . In the years 1956–58 the new building was carried out by the architect Richard Gach .

The school currently (2018) has 31 classes, including all-day classes and classes with English as the working language. Exercises and courses include dyslexic courses, German as a second language, artistic design, word processing and IT, and the Healthy and Fit working group . As a non-binding exercise, there are the following sports options:

In addition to the adequate classrooms , most of which face the schoolyard, there is a central library and a large ballroom with a stage for events. The hall with buffet has a capacity of 350 seats. In the sports area, the large sports facilities in the school yard are being supplemented by several new gyms.
