Jessica Margaret Aida "Jess" Draskau-Petersson (born September 8, 1977 in Gentofte ) is a Danish duathlete , triathlete , long-distance runner and two-time Olympian (2012, 2016).

Career

Draskau-Petersson was born in Denmark and she has dual citizenship: Danish and Manx (Isle of Man). In 1990 she moved to the UK with her family.

She has been a professional athlete for the United Kingdom since 2004. In 2004 she became Duathlon Vice World Champion on the long distance at Powerman in Zofingen and was able to repeat this success three times in 2005, 2006 and 2009.

After a 4-year break, she started for Denmark in London at the Summer Olympics on the marathon distance in August 2012 and finished in 40th place.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics , the 39-year-old reached 40th place in the marathon again on August 14 with a time of 2:36:14 hours.

Draskau-Petersson starts for the Aarhus 1900 association .
