Heselwangen is a district of Balingen in the Zollernalb district in Baden-Württemberg .

Heselwangen is located northeast of Balingen, adjacent to the villages of Streichen , Balingen, Engstlatt and Frommern .
history
Heselwangen is first mentioned in 793 as Hesiliuuane . Since the place was probably in the Balingen district from the start , it shared the fortunes of the city. Until 1934, Heselwangen was an independent municipality in the office or Oberamt Balingen , which was part of the Duchy of Württemberg and from 1806 to 1918 belonged to the Kingdom of Württemberg and then to the national state of the same name . In 1934, Heselwangen was incorporated into the city of Balingen.

The Protestant church in Heselwangen was built in 1830 as a flat-roofed hall building according to the plans of Carl Christian Nieffer with a retracted tower. The baptismal font, which is furnished with antique forums, includes the organ created by Anton Braun in 1831 and the 17th century "Gravegechristus" from Carl Christian Nieffer.
