history
Stockenhausen was first mentioned in 1094 as Stokinhusen . Via the lords of Winzeln, the place came to the monastery of St. Gallen and finally to the counts of Zollern . The place now belonged to the office and later to the Oberamt Balingen , which was part of the Kingdom of Württemberg from 1806 . In 1934 the Oberamt Balingen was renamed the Balingen district and in 1938 it became part of the Balingen district .
On January 1, 1971, Stockenhausen was incorporated into Frommern .
