Hess Swisshybrid
Under the name Swiss hybrid , the Swiss company has Carrosserie Hess from Bellach together with the German electronics manufacturer Vossloh Kiepe since 2010 diesel-electric powered low-floor - articulated buses with serial hybrid drive on. The type designation of the vehicle series is BGH-N2C . With the Swissdiesel (diesel bus), the Swisstrolley (articulated trolleybus), the lighTram Trolley (double articulated trolleybus) and the lighTram Hybrid (double articulated hybrid bus), the Swisshybrid is part of the current Hess product range. In order to clearly distinguish it from the other products and based on the naming scheme of the double articulated buses, the spelling SwissHybrid is often used, whereby the type of drive is emphasized by capitalization .
Technology and design
In the Swiss hybrid comes a six-cylinder - Diesel engine type Iveco N60 ENT with charge air cooling is used, which provides 220 kW of power and has a cc engine capacity of 5880th This motor drives a 190 kW generator from Traktionssysteme Austria. Via an electric intermediate circuit with an intermediate storage system of eight high-power capacitors of the type HTM Maxwell 125 for regenerative braking is connected that are traction motors on the rear two of the three axes driven. Two three-phase asynchronous motors with a respective output of 120 kW are used here.
The CO-BOLT modular system, patented by Hess, is used for assembly, so that the cars are visually identical to the other buses in the current product range. Low-maintenance LED technology is used to illuminate the interior . As with the Swisstrolley, a three- or four-door variant can also be selected for the hybrid articulated bus.

In cooperation with the Association of Public Transport , the Hess demonstration car with blue and green stickers was used for test drives by seven Swiss transport companies between 2011 and 2012:
