Heze (菏泽 市; Pinyin : Hézé Shì) is a prefecture -level city in the southwest of east China 's Shandong Province . Heze has an area of ​​12,239 km² and around 8.62 million inhabitants (2016). 559,636 people live in the actual urban settlement area (2010 census).

Administrative structure

The district-free city of Heze is made up of two districts and seven districts. These are:

  • Mudan District - 牡丹 区Mǔdān Qū ;
