Hilaire Marie Vermeiren MSC (born April 13, 1889 in Beveren , Belgium , † August 18, 1967 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Coquilhatville .

Life

Hilaire Marie Vermeiren joined the Congregation of the Sacred Heart Missionaries at and received on 15 August 1912, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 10, 1947, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Gibba and Apostolic Vicar of Coquilhatville. The retired Apostolic Vicar of Coquilhatville, Edouard van Goethem MSC, donated him the episcopal ordination on July 25 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Manado , Joannes Walter Panis MSC, and the Apostolic Vicar of Niangara , Robert Constant Lagae OP .

Hilaire Marie Vermeiren was due to the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate Coquilhatville for on November 10, 1959 Archdiocese first Archbishop of Coquilhatville. On April 8, 1963, Pope Paul VI took the resignation put forward by Vermeiren and appointed him titular Archbishop of Pedachtoë .

Vermeiren attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
