Hilde Kraska

Hilde Kraska (* August 24, 1921 as Hilde Rahe ; † December 10, 2018 ) was a German table tennis player from the 1950s. She won two titles at German championships.

Career

Kraska played at FC Schalke 04 until 1952 and then moved to TTC Bottrop-own. At the West German Championships of the WTTV she won the title eight times, in 1955 in singles, 1952 to 1956 in doubles with Hilde Kazmierczak-Gröber and in mixed 1951 with Severin and 1954 with Bernie Vossebein .

1954 Kraska won the national German championship in mixed with Bernie Vossebein. A year later she became German champion in doubles with Hilde Kazmierczak-Gröber, in singles she was second. She reached the semi-finals in 1951 in doubles with Hilde Kazmierczak, in 1953 in mixed with Bernie Vossebein, in 1955 in mixed with Karl-Heinz Harmansa and in 1956 in doubles with Hilde Kazmierczak-Gröber.

In 1955 she was nominated for the world championship . Here she defeated Margita Covic (Yugoslavia) in the singles and was defeated by Fujie Eguchi (Japan). In doubles with Annegret Thöle , she was eliminated in the first round against the English twins Diane Rowe / Rosalind Rowe . She also lost in the mixed with Leopold Holusek in the first round against the Austrians Karl Wegrath / Friederike Lauber . With the German team she came in 16th.

In total, Kraska played 16 international matches. In 1955 she was ranked fourth in the German ranking.
