Fujie Eguchi
Fujie Eguchi ( Japanese 江口 冨 士 枝 , Eguchi Fujie ; born November 18, 1932 in Nagasaki ) is a former Japanese table tennis player . In the 1950s she was one of the most successful table tennis players and won a total of six world championship titles. She dominated mostly because of her great footwork. Fujie Eguchi played offensive table tennis with the Japanese penholder grip . In 1997 she was inducted into the ITTF Hall of Fame .
Later she worked in the Osaka table tennis association and in the Japanese table tennis association, for which she headed the women's department, among other things.
Fujie Eguchi has been married since 1960.
