from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He Zhili ( Chinese  何 智 麗  /  何 智 丽 , Japanese Ka Chirei ; born September 30, 1964 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese and Japanese table tennis player . She won gold twice at world championships. After their marriage, she took the name Chire Koyama (Japanese 小山 ち れ , Koyama Chire , Chinese 小山 智 丽 , Xiaoshan Zhili ).

Career

He Zhili was born in China. She competed for China at the 1985 and 1987 World Championships . In 1985 she won gold with the women's team. In 1987 she became world champion in singles, in doubles with Jiao Zhimin she reached the semi-finals. Since she resisted a stable order to let a teammate win at this World Cup, she fell out of favor and was not considered for the 1988 Olympic Games.

In 1988 she married Hideyuki Koyama from Japan and took the name Chire Koyama. She moved to Japan where she won the national Japanese championship several times, around 1993, 1996, 1997. She was nominated for the 1993 , 1997 and 1999 world championships by the Japanese Table Tennis Association . In 1996 and 2000 she took part in the Summer Olympics.

Note: In this article, the family name is placed before the proper name of the person. This is the usual order in Chinese culture. He / Ka / Koyama is the family name here, Zhili / Chirei / Chire is the proper name.
