German table tennis championship 1954
The 22nd national German table tennis championship took place in East Berlin in February 1954 in the German sports hall , for the second time since 1952 .
Conny Freundorfer defended his title from the previous year and thus became German champion in men's singles for the second time. Ulla Paulsen from Hamburg won the women's race . German champions in doubles were Leopold Holusek / Josef Seiz and Hanne Imlau / Edith Schmidt . In the mixed, Bernhard Vossebein / Hilde Kraska won gold.
All games were played in the best-of-five mode (three sets of wins).
That was the last all-German championship before reunification . From 1955 the GDR stayed away from these championships and organized its own championships.
