Hilvan ( Ottoman قره جورون Karacurun , Kurdish Curnê Reş ) is a city and at the same time the name of a district in the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa in southeastern Anatolia . The city of Hilvan has 21,009 inhabitants and the district 40,776 (as of 2008). Hilvan is in the north of the province and borders the Adıyaman Province .
