The house at Hohe Straße 28 is a listed building in the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

Architecture and history

The very elongated two-storey half - timbered house is one of the oldest preserved former trading yards in the city and is entered in the Quedlinburg monument register. In its core substance, it probably originated at the beginning of the 15th century. The upper floor protrudes far beyond the ground floor. There were originally bends below the beam heads . However, the facade was later changed.

The half-timbered buildings in the courtyard date from the 17th and 18th centuries. There are fan rosettes as decorations . At the end of the 19th century, a shop was installed on the ground floor facing the street. In the north wing of the property there are installations of a brewery from the turn of the 20th century.

Inside the house there is a hall with stucco work and stencil paintings in the classicism style .
