European Luge Championships 1980

The European Luge Championships in 1980 were from 19 to 20 January at the Italian Olang held, which was attended by athletes from twelve countries. After 1975, Olang was the venue for this competition for the second time. Among the men, the Italians dominated the single-seater competition on their home track and celebrated a quadruple triumph. The two other competitions were won by the tobogganists from the GDR , with Melitta Sollmann successfully defending her title from the previous year.
