The 45th European Luge Championships were held on January 25 and 26, 2014 as part of the 9th World Cup race of the 2013/2014 season on the luge track in Sigulda , Latvia . In the absence of the top German athletes, who had not started in preparation for the Winter Olympics in Sochi but had dominated the World Cup season up to then, the athletes from Russia and Italy won two titles each.
